This is not how to be my friend [Apr. 20th, 2008|11:41 pm]
[Current Mood | aggravated]

I've heard rumors that some people have been giving Charlotte shit over our breakup. Unless you are someone who just enjoys trying to spark drama, I can only assume you've done this out of some sense of friendship for me based on who I was in 2002. I am not the person I was in 2002, and, more importantly, you have no knowledge of the circumstances of our breakup. Charlotte is still one of my best friends, and if you know me at all, you know I do not use that term lightly. If you are giving her shit, you are wrongfully hurting her, and you are _not_ being a friend to me. So fuck off.

Thanks Everyone [Apr. 2nd, 2007|11:29 am]
Big thanks to everyone who came to my surprise birthday party saturday, especially Kayla for hosting it... it was awesome, I really had a blast.

Very special thanks to Charlotte for organizing it all, and creating the ultimate sci-fi smoking room. :-) Love ya sweetie!

Back in SLO [Dec. 26th, 2005|09:14 pm]
Taking off from SFO heading north, the plane banks left just south of SF to head towards SLO. Just high enough to take in the whole city through the window. Perfect nighttime view... downtown, Golden Gate Park, both bridges, everything. Absolutely gorgeous.

I love to fly.

Lick-Wilmerding [Dec. 26th, 2005|01:07 pm]
How about that... my high school is the number 6 "green" school in the country.

Back in SF [Dec. 23rd, 2005|05:09 pm]
Couple random things:

I love a sunset viewed from above the clouds.

I dig the Air Train at SFO. Very Star Trek.

Since I was in the area while shopping downtown, I was able to verify that parts of Rent were shot where I thought they were. While watching the film I recognized the building at the end of an alley as being the Old Mint. When I went there the alley looked different... perhaps some buildings have been torn down since then, or they were added digitally. But at the intersection I recognized the building used as the club where Mimi danced.

I miss the variety of people in SF. In particular, (and on a fetish note) I miss the sheer quantity of asian women. Yummy.

Pleasant Surprise [Dec. 1st, 2005|10:36 am]
Holy crap, I got a big fuckin' raise today. Caught me completely off-guard. Best way to start the day.

Okay, second best, but still.

Randomness [Nov. 17th, 2005|03:12 pm]
I want to do the first handstand, first back handspring, and first back flip on the moon. Possibly even the first standing double-back flip on the moon.

I still hate parties [Oct. 30th, 2005|02:25 am]
They still remind me I'm alone, and that that is not likely to ever change. I hate growing old. Dammit, where is my gorram telomere treatment?

Getting even closer to my Perfect Rocky [May. 8th, 2005|02:17 am]
I ran into Hudson tonight at McCarthy's, and he said he'd not only like to do Frank again, but be a regular Frank under the new rotation system. I cannot express my jubilation at this. I can only hope I can get some of the old school crowd back again to celebrate his triumphant return, as they did for the anniversary show.

Shakespeare Festival [Apr. 17th, 2005|01:17 pm]
Turns out I'll be doing Shakespeare Festival this year after all. Feels good to be offered a part when you didn't even audition, even if looking right for the part had a lot to do with it. :-) (Viola is a 5'4" blonde, they want me to play her twin)

If there is someone on your friends list you would like to abduct, strip naked, lash to a chain link fence, lick them until they scream, then fuck them until both of you are senseless and unable to fuck anymore, then wait about five minutes and do it all over again, then post this exact sentence in YOUR journal!

Crush Me! [Mar. 24th, 2005|10:23 pm]
Reply if you have or have had at any time a crush on me. Anonymous posting enabled. (though I'd love to know who you are)

Then post this in YOUR journal so I can spill my guts!

Martian Life [Feb. 17th, 2005|11:54 am]
There's supposedly some new evidence of the possibility of life on Mars:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6981361/

Not that there is anything substantial here ("strong evidence that life may exist"... that doesn't mean anything really), but it occurs to me for the first time that part of me hopes there _isn't_ life there. Mars would be the easiest body in the solar system to terraform, but if there already is life there, we can't.

"If there is so much as a microbe, the shows off." - Dr. Carol Marcus

Hmmm, torn between the desire to find life elsewhere and the desire to terraform other worlds.

Bastards! [Dec. 2nd, 2004|07:03 pm]
[Current Mood | disappointed]

They screwed up. Gonna take 18 months after all. Oh well... at least it's plenty of time to save up a proper down-payment.

Zenroom Mark IV (v, VI, VII, who really knows now...) [Nov. 20th, 2004|02:41 am]
Yes, it's always difficult getting a Rocky performance ready. But what is surprising me is how much I am enjoying being a part of that again. I haven't truly enjoyed it for nearly three years now... that's why I retired. But getting this show ready, and being the "not-director" for all the rehearsals, has been a lot of fun. None of my old personal issues intruded to cause problems for me this time. It's really been fun again. I'm really hoping we do well enough this show to keep the triumvirate engaged. Now I really want to carry out my old plans for the ZenRoom cast, for both casting and performance opportunities I had planned but was never able to arrange before.

Patience, guys. We are learning as we go. Mike, thanks for everything you've been putting up with. My apologies for continuing rehearsals when you just wanted to go home. Know that it will only get better as we learn what the hell we're doing. :-)
